Relationship Therapy

For couples and individuals working through relational patterns.

Relationships hold our deepest hopes and our oldest reflexes. Therapy is a place to understand both, and to make room for something more honest.

Recognition

The same conversation keeps happening. Something small becomes big quickly. You feel unseen, or afraid to speak, or unsure what you even want anymore. Or you are single and starting to notice that a pattern you thought you had left behind keeps quietly returning.

Concerns often addressed

  • Communication cycles, conflict, and repair after rupture
  • Emotional distance, intimacy, and rebuilding trust
  • Attachment patterns, dating, and choosing partners
  • Life-stage decisions, blended families, and caregiving strain
  • Individual work on relational history and identity

What working together may involve

With couples, sessions weave emotionally focused and attachment-based approaches with practical skills for slowing down conflict and hearing one another. With individuals, we may work psychodynamically and somatically to understand the patterns that keep repeating, and to practice what a different relationship with yourself and others might feel like.

Fit indicators

A good fit if both people, or you as an individual, are willing to look honestly at your own contribution to the pattern and to try something new. Active domestic violence and untreated substance use often need different or additional support first.
