Recognition

You are the person other people call when things are hard. You keep the calendar, the plans, the family thread. Then quietly, alone, you notice the tightness in your chest, the sleep that will not settle, the sense that something needs to change.

Therapy is a place to slow down and understand what is asking for attention, and to decide what to do with it.

A three-part frame

Insight, regulation, and practical change, held together.

01

Insight

Understanding the patterns and histories that shape how you meet your life today, without becoming stuck in them.

02

Regulation

Working with the nervous system so that new understanding can actually land in the body, not just the mind.

03

Practical change

Translating what we learn into small, sustainable shifts in relationships, routines, and choices.

About

A calm, thoughtful presence with nearly two decades in practice.

I am Cher Reif, a licensed California psychologist based in Beverly Hills. My work is warm and integrative, grounded in relational depth and shaped by contemporary approaches to the nervous system and behavior.

Clients often come in high functioning on the outside and quietly worn on the inside. Together we make space for what has been carried, and for what wants to come next.

Beginning therapy

Three quiet steps

  1. Step 1

    Reach out

Use the Therapy Portal or the contact form to share a little about what is bringing you in and what would be helpful.

  2. Step 2

    Consultation

We schedule a brief phone conversation to talk through fit, logistics, and what a starting arrangement could look like.

  3. Step 3

    First session

If we move forward, we schedule a first appointment. Early sessions focus on getting a full picture and shaping a plan together.
